The most symbolic decoration at a wedding is the cake. They can be grand, ornate, even unusual, and of course, costly. Two easy things to consider when shopping for a wedding cake: Fondant will always be more than icing, and filling will always be more than plain cake. If the wedding is going to be large you might consider having a smaller wedding cake and adding sheet cakes in the same or complimentary flavors. The sheet cakes can be hidden away and brought out after the initial cake cutting is performed. It’s the same cake, only less expensive. Or consider the new trend of cupcakes. They can be put on beautiful cupcake trees and be amazing, either by themselves, or accompanying a small wedding cake.

At a recent wedding, we provided a buffet service where the couple wanted to offer their guests a very nice dinner, and yet, keep costs to a minimum. We served appetizers to keep the guests occupied while the couple had photographs taken. Our professional staff served each guest for their first serving to ensure portion control, while offering more than just “self service.” The environment was relaxed, yet semi-formal, and fit the bride’s desire to ensure a good time was had by all.
Kat’s offers a variety of food choices for any type of event, as well as different types of food service, including full service dinners, buffet style service or self-serve buffets. We consult with you to ensure that menu and service options fit the mood of any occasion, whether it is a formal sit-down dinner or an informal backyard BBQ.
When selecting menu and service options for your event, there are three things to condsider: Personality of your event; budget; and location. These three things will determine the type of food served, how it is served; decorations; music; other activities.
Kat’s can assist you with planning your event to ensure your vision becomes reality, whatever your personality!
